10 Israeli Introducing Lebanon Fighter Plane

The Israeli military has again violated the Lebanese air zone. Several Israeli fighter planes flew in Lebanese airspace on Friday which was a blatant violation of the UN Security Council resolution no.1701.

A Press TV correspondent in Beirut reported, based on a statement issued by the Lebanese military on Friday, 10 Israeli warplanes violated the Lebanese air zone at different times starting at 9:38 am local time.

Israeli aircraft entered the air border of southern Lebanon and flew over Lebanese territory, and returned at 11:20 am local time.
Israel repeatedly violated the Lebanese air zone, and claimed the flight was for surveillance purposes.

The Lebanese government, the Hezbollah resistance movement, and the United Nations peacekeeping force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) repeatedly condemned Israel's violation of the flying zone. UNIFIL considers the Israeli military action violating UN Resolution no.1701 and state sovereignty.

UN Security Council Resolution no.1701, called on Tel Aviv to respect Beirut's sovereignty.

In 2009, Lebanon filed a lawsuit against the United Nations, and presented more than 7,000 documents relating to Israeli violations in Lebanon.
