100 Pro-Palestinian Activists Arrive in Gaza

A delegation consists of around 100 pro-Palestinian activists from several countries arrived in the Gaza Strip to show their solidarity with the Palestinian people.

According to Press TV reports, the convoy entered the Gaza Strip through the Rafah crossing which was controlled by Egypt on Sunday (10/6) and received by Palestinian officials.

Some of the activists have visited Gaza on previous aid missions. They appealed to the international community to help reduce the suffering of the Palestinian people in the region.

Musa Nurdin, Chairperson of Viva Malaysia who joined the group said, "We are here to share the pain and God willing, help to eliminate the pain. We bring a number of assistance from the people of Malaysia."

Activists say that they were inspired by Palestinian resistance which was able to survive for decades under the occupation of the Zionist regime of Israel.
Participants in the convoy managed to bring some symbolic assistance such as much-needed medical equipment and educational tools in order to build relationships with Gazans.

They are scheduled to stay for four days to see first hand the situation on the ground and meet with officials, and talk with residents in the Israeli blockaded area.
