You Can Forget How to Write by Hand

If you forget the last time handwriting, You are not alone. Research shows that the use of pens and paper is increasingly scarce. The average adult never writes anything with his hand for about six weeks.

The era of using keyboards and smartphones shifted traditional writing methods. Writing using paper is considered inefficient because it needs to be typed again.
Research conducted by record services online Docmail shows that the average time an adult writes by hand is only 41 days a year. But, the study also found that one in three adults had no reason to write anything neatly by hand for more than six months.

As many as two-thirds of the 2,000 respondents said if they wrote by hand, usually only for reminders or small notes. This messy writing is usually only for them to see for themselves.

More than half of the respondents acknowledged their hand writing ability has now declined. One in seven stated they were embarrassed to see the quality of their handwriting. In fact, four out of 10 rely on the text prediction feature in spelling words. One in four respondents claimed to often use the voice command feature to write.

"It's very embarrassing, the quality of handwriting is generally declining. But, this is due to the need for convenience and clear and fast communication," said director Docmail, Dave Broadway, as reported by Daily Mail.
