Cyberjaya Projected As Malaysia's Silicon Valley 2020

The main developer company Cyberjaya, Setia Haruman PT, believes that Cyberjaya can be fully transformed into 2020 Silicon Valley.

Cyberjaya director Tan Sri Mustapha Kamal Abu Bakar said that at that time, Kuala Lumpur and Cyberjaya would be an infinite smart city with high-impact companies providing high-value jobs.

"We are already available, albeit a little late, but on time. Gradually, this whole area will become a Multimedia Highway Corridor," he said at a press conference.

With a passion for becoming a city in the future, Cyberjaya has emerged as a leader for multimedia centers in Malaysia, able to attract multimedia and world-class ICT companies as well as professionals and students.

Mustapha said, at this time, a new wave of investment was now taken by 16 companies that would inject around RM20 billion by 2016.
Of the RM20 billion, Setia Haruman will contribute RM2.5 billion and enjoy a margin of between 20 percent and 30 percent of its investment.

Mustapha said, development in Cyberjaya also gained momentum with the price of office space jumping 30 percent since two years ago.
