Jakarta -The bad image of the House of Representatives as the most corrupt institution in Indonesia is very strong in community assessment. In addition, the DPR is also considered as a place to earn a living for politicians.
This assessment arose from the results of a survey conducted by Soegeng Sarjadi Syndicate (SSS) on 2,192 respondents spread across 33 provinces.
"The DPR is considered as the most corrupt institution from the list of institutions we offer. Respondents who voted for the DPR as the most corrupt institution were 1,030 respondents or 47 percent of 2,192 respondents," said Soegeng Sarjadi Syndicate, 2014 Presidential Candidate Mapping Survey Coordinator, Muhammad Dahlan. survey in Jakarta, Wednesday (6/5).
The case of Gayus HP Tambunan and Dhana Widyamitka also contributed to the community's assessment of the most corrupt institutions. The tax office is considered corrupt by 21.4%, followed by police agencies with 11.3%. "While the political parties are only 3.9 percent," Dahlan said.
Respondents, he continued, also believed that DPR members were now just making a living. A total of 1,367 respondents or 62.4 percent said this.
While the other 21.3 percent considered the DPR to only carry out their duties as people's representatives. The rest said they did not know (15.6%) and did not answer (0.8%).
Some people also do not know about the DPR's new product, the Budget Agency. Respondents said that they did not know that the Banggar DPR could interfere in budget allocation for projects in the APBN.
A total of 883 respondents or 40.3 percent said they did not know about this. Whereas those who stated that Banggar may interfere as many as 673 respondents or 30.7 percent.
According to Dahlan, the large number of bribery and corruption cases that occurred at this time made respondents state that corruption and bribery cases were the most urgent problems to solve, namely 1,044 respondents or 47.6 percent.
"While the poverty problem was only 562 respondents or 25.6 percent, the mafia in all lines 235 respondents or 10.7 percent and 226 respondents unemployed or 10.3 percent," he said.
