India Tests Akash Missiles Successfully

The Indian Akash missile test was successful.
India Wednesday morning (6/6) successfully tested Akash's ground-to-air missile in the Balashur region at Candi Puri.

As reported by IRNA, this is India's fifth trial in the last two weeks. Akash missiles have the ability to break air targets such as unmanned aircraft, fighter planes, cruise missiles and air-to-ground missiles.

The Akash missile weighs 720 kg and is 5.8 meters long and is capable of carrying 50 kg warheads.

Meanwhile, Pakistan yesterday also successfully tested the launch of Hatif missiles with a range of 700 km and capable of carrying nuclear warheads.
India and Pakistan since independence from British occupation in 1947 have fought three times.
