Israel makes sophisticated computer viruses to attack Iran?




Jakarta - A computer virus that is said to be most sophisticated has been discovered and ruffled in various countries in the Middle East, especially Iran. The creator of the virus nicknamed the Flame indeed still mysterious. But allegedly, Israel made it.

The very powerful 20MB virus reportedly hit computer systems in Iran, Sudan, Syria, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia and Egypt. Israel reportedly did not escape the Flame attack, but now they are accused of being the mastermind.
Deputy Prime Minister of Israel, Moshe Ya'alon indicated that Israel was the maker of the Flame. He considered, Israel has the capability to launch such attacks.
"Anyone who sees the Iranian threat is a serious threat, seems to be taking different steps, including that (cyber-red attack), in order to hurt them," Ya'alon said.
"Israel is blessed to be a nation that has superior technology. The achievement opens up all kinds of possibilities for us," he added, quoted by the Herald Sun and quoted detikINETOn Wednesday (05/30/2012).

The Flame virus was detected by Kaspersky at the request of an investigation by
International Telecommunication Union (ITU). Iran appears to be the main target of this sophisticated virus attack which can collect a variety of important data, including recording conversations.


Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also said Israel was seriously developing cyber capabilities. "In the cyber arena, the size of a country is not important but in the field of scientific ability and Israel is blessed in that," Benjamin said.

Iran itself through institutions National Computer Emergency Response Team (Maher) acknowledged the invasion of the Flame virus hit his country. But they claim to have made an anti-virus to stop Flame.
