Pro Syari'ah Policy: Islam Does Not Know the Separation of Religion and Politics

JAKARTA - It is unfortunate if someone who claims to be an Islamic leader accuses Islam (Al-Qur'an) of not having a concept of state. In fact, with excessive fear (Islamophobia), pro-syari'ah policies are considered something threatening and dangerous in the life of the nation and state.

Responding to this, the Chairman of the Presidium Forum for the Hospitality of the Shari'ah Care Society (MPS) H. Bambang Setyo, M.Sc, stressed that the application of Shari'ah in managing the nation and state must be endeavored with all its might as a manifestation of gratitude for the joy of Indonesian independence achieved thanks to the Grace of Allah the Almighty.

Starting from the spirit and soul of the Opening of the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, the management of our nation and state, inevitably, must refer to the guidance of God and the example of the Prophet.
According to Bambang who was the Editor of the Leading Magazine in Bandung, one of the privileges of the Government exemplified by the Prophet Muhammad is the unification of religion and politics, there is no separation of worship mahdhah (prayer, economy, culture, defense, etc.).

Islamic Aqeedah is more than a philosophy or ideology. Islam does not recognize the separation of religion and life, religion and politics, or religion and state, because Islam is not just an individual religion, but a social religion for all humanity. Islam is a complete life guide for humans to achieve happiness in the world and in the hereafter.

Islamic ideology is an ideology that is described or operationalized - as a reflection of thought - from sources of Islamic teachings, the Qur'an and as-Sunnah. Thus, Islamic aqeedah is political and spiritual aqeedah. Laws originating from Islam emphasize its attention to world affairs and at the same time hereafter.
"Whereas man-made (conventional) law is not complete. Ideology and systems other than Islam have no afterlife dimension," said Bambang,

Furthermore, Bambang explains, Islamic law provides the law and the mind which deals with all matters of life and human relations in it, whether in connection with matters of government, economy, social relations, education, domestic and foreign politics, as well as the relationship between the ruler and its people, countries with other nations and nations.
"Therefore Islamic political aqeedah is a complete and comprehensive ideology, which regulates all affairs and aspects of life and provides a solution.

The pro-Syari'ah policy in managing the NKRI needs to be socialized and championed so that it can be implemented, so that the ideals and objectives of the Independence Proclamation can be achieved.
"By disseminating pro-syari'ah policies, it is expected to be able to remove the negative stigma, islamophobia (excessive fear of Islam) and misunderstanding of the people's struggle to uphold the Islamic law, as a manifestation of their beliefs and beliefs.

The dim glory of Islam, and the fall of the Muslims in humiliation and backwardness is because the people take un-Islamic thoughts and laws. Therefore, it is very important to re-apply Islamic law and thought to regulate the behavior of individuals and Muslims in the life of the nation and state.
"Politics based on Islamic aqidah always prioritizes truth, honesty, morals (political ethics), and does not justify any means to achieve goals," said Bambang.
