Khilafah: The Best Country

At 28Rajab1342 H, England through their agents Kamal at-Taturk destroy Islamic Caliphate. This political institution for centuries was in the midst of the people. This institution unites Muslims, applies Islamic sharia and disseminates Islam to all corners of the world.

Now 1433 H, meaning 91-year-old Muslims no longer have this institution. During that time Muslims did not perform important obligations in Islam, namely the caliphate. Yet Muslims are only given the empty tolerance of leadership (Khilafah) for 3 days 3 nights. Not only that, the obligation to uphold the Khilafah is a matterma'lum [un] min-ad-din bi dhorurah. This matter is known for its urgency. The scholars and all the priests of the school agreed on their obligations.
Politically the Khilafah system is dedicated to serving the interests of society. Because, the essence of Islamic politics isri'ayah su'un al-ummah(community affairs management) based on Islamic syariah. Therefore, the rulers in Islam are like shepherds (ra'in) and servant of the people (khadim al-ummah).
In Islam the ruler is present to apply Islamic laws; ensure the fulfillment of the basic needs of each individual community such as food, clothing and shelter; guarantee high quality education and proper health for the community for free; ensure the upright law and security of the people are maintained.
The principle of sovereignty in the hands of sharia will ensure that this community service runs well because the community is managed based on Islamic sharia. This Islamic sovereignty will close human intervention to make legal and political policies that are based on group interests, passions, or the power of capital as in a democratic system that places sovereignty in human hands.
Unlike the authoritarian system, the Islamic political system gives power to the people (ash-shultan li al-ummah) With this power right, the people have the right to have the caliph they like without any coercion. The people have the right to even be obliged to criticize the Caliph if they deviate from Islam. Islam also glorifies the activity of correcting these rulers as the best jihad (afdhal al-jihad) and with a nickname-if the perpetrator was killed-the leader of the syahada (sayyid asy-syuhadaa).
In this political system the people are given the right to gather, organize and express opinions; certainly not based on freedom (liberalism), but based on sharia law. This political system provides space for dissent as far as the corridors of Islamic creed and sharia law. Therefore, the existence of different jurisprudential sects will be preserved by the state. The state will not be in favor of a particular sect or adopt a sect. Because, the Khilafah is a nation for all people, regardless of their sect.
The guarantee of people's rights in the Khilafah is evident from the existence of the Assembly of People. This is where representatives of the people and community leaders from various circles (Muslims and non-Muslims) from various regions gather. However, they gathered not to make law as in a democratic system, but in order to correct the policies of the authorities. This Assembly of People also carries out the function of deliberation; their opinions will be made an important input for the Caliph in carrying out his policies.
Economically, the policy implemented by the Khilafah is to fulfill the basic needs of each individual person (clothing, food and shelter). The people are encouraged to work hard to meet the needs of all of them. If not fulfilled, the family must help. If it's still not enough, the state will intervene. There should be no individual people who die of starvation, or live in despair because they do not have clothes and houses.
Education and health are the people's rights that are obtained free of charge. Free does not mean carelessly. Education as a people's right must be of high quality. Health must be feasible. All of this will create peace as a community while at the same time alleviate their economic burden because the people will focus on working to meet basic needs. This is different from the current capitalist economic system when the biggest economic burden of the people actually occurs due to expensive education and health.
The state also optimally uses existing sources of income for the benefit of the people. Public ownership in the form of abundant mining goods such as gold, coal, silver, tin, copper, gas or oil will be well managed by the state for the benefit of the people; may not be surrendered and owned by individuals or foreigners.
In this way, state revenues will be more than enough to serve and meet people's needs. With this principle, the Khilafah state will stop the occupation of Capitalism, which robbed the wealth of Muslims in the name of foreign investment or free trade.
Nevertheless, in Islam individual ownership is still recognized. Even the Khilafah state must provide guarantees for each individual to fulfill secondary needs. Thus the Islamic system will not turn off the work ethic of its people; coupled with the encouragement of piety, it will only increase.
The Khilafah State is also a legal state. Every verdict to resolve disputes and crimes must go through a court process. The judge will sentence him based on the Islamic Shari'a with the process of proof and witness. The law in this case applies equally to anyone, the people or authorities, who are rich or poor, Muslim or non-Muslim.
Related to non-Muslims, the state guarantees no coercion on them to embrace Islam. They are also assured of worship based on their beliefs, eating and drinking based on their beliefs, including dressing. However, in the 'suffering(legal sanctions), muamalah (economy, education, etc.), the law applies equally, namely Islamic law. They also get the same rights as other people who are Muslim in guaranteeing basic needs, health, education and security.
Many years have passed, various political systems have been tried in the midst of Muslims. There are socialist-communists, there is a model of the monarchy, and as a matter of course it is a secular capitalist. There are no real changes in the midst of the people. Everything has failed in all aspects. Islamic countries, though rich and large in number, are countries with poor population, high unemployment, underdeveloped in science and technology. Islamic countries were occupied, seized, divided and tens of millions of people became victims.
Therefore, in fact Muslims have no choice but to return to the best system of government, namely Khilafah.
