Munarman: Regional Regulation of Tasikmalaya Constitutional

Issues surrounding the regional regulations rolled out by the Tasikmalaya regional government have received various responses from the community.

Asked about his opinion on various groups who rejected the existence of a regional regulation that demanded those politely and Islamic dressed women, Islamic activist Munarman SH said that what was in the regulation was still in line with the prevailing constitution in the Republic of Indonesia.

"The constitution currently in use is based on the presidential decree of July 5, 1959, in the consideration of the decree stating the 'Constitution inspired by the Jakarta Charter which is an inseparable unity of the constitution'", Munarman said in the message received by the editor, Friday, June 8.

Inside Jakarta Charter itself the contents are exactly the same as the Preamble of the 1945 Constitution, only added the phrase 'With the obligation to carry out Islamic Shari'a for its followers', in the bananas of the One and Only God
So according to Munarman, the application of regional regulations that breathe Islamic law remains in line or constitutional. It is precisely the people or groups who oppose it that do not respect the law, Munarman added.
