Putin: Regarding Syria All Must Return to the Negotiating Table

President of Russia, Vladimir Putin again warned of foreign intervention in Syria during his visit to the Middle East.

"Since the beginning of the movement called the Arab Spring, Russia has persuaded its partners that democratic change must be carried out through civilized means and without foreign intervention," Putin said after meeting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in east Baitul Maqdis (Jerusalem) Monday (25 / 6). AFP reported.

He also hopes that all parties involved in the Syrian crisis will return to the negotiating table, stressing that negotiations are the only solution in resolving the ongoing crisis in the Arab country.
Putin further explained, all disputes must be resolved according to international provisions, and planning destruction together is an unacceptable attitude, whoever expresses the threat.

Moscow supports the international conference on Syria and has discussed it with a number of countries including Iran, Iraq and Jordan and the European Union.

Russia and China, two permanent members of the UN Security Council, have vetoed two draft resolutions of the West's anti-Syrian initiative.
