Thousands of Turkish citizens and foreign communities commemorate the 2 years of Israeli attacks on the Mavi Marmara ship

In Turkey, the community commemorates two years of Israel's deadly attacks on humanitarian ship blue Marmara Gaza's Palestinian destination, Press TV reported Friday 01/06.

People from various countries gathered in Istanbul at the same time held ceremonies and demonstrations to commemorate the two years of the murder of nine pro-Palestinian activists aboard the Mavi Marmara. On the ship there are also volunteers and journalists from Indonesia.

Thousands of pro-Palestinian demonstrators gathered in Istanbul's main square while shouting anti-Israeli slogans.
As a reminder, on May 31, 2010, the Israeli military suddenly attacked Gaza's Freedom Flotila ship in international waters that killed nine Turkish activists on the Mavi Marmara, which was part of a convoy of six aid ships. One Indonesian journalist from Hidayatullah Media was also hit by Israeli army bullets.

For the incident two years ago, in September 2011 Turkey expelled the Israeli ambassador and stopped all military cooperation with Tel Aviv. This was done by Turkey because the United Nations did not expressly condemn the Israeli regime's incident.

Lifetime Sentence For Israeli Soldiers

Meanwhile, a court in Turkey has agreed to a life sentence for four former Israeli military commanders for their role in the incident on the Mavi Marmara ship.

The 144-page indictment calls for a life sentence to be given to each of the four former Israeli commanders. Among them are former Chief of Staff General Gabi Ashkenazi.
