Tunisia Official Banned Veil For Students Who Attend Bachelor Exams

After going through a long debate, education Department in Tunisia finally issued a decision that students who take bachelor's examinations next week are prohibited from covering their faces with veils.




The release from the Ministry of Education to students: "to commit to opening their faces at exam centers and classes during the test period, so that their identities can be ascertained and to avoid cheating from test takers," as reportedTunisia-Live.net.

Although actually the number of students wearing niqab or veils in Tunisia is still small. But this problem is considered to have caused much controversy in Tunisia, until finally the Minister of Education issued this ban. But in general, wearing a veil or niqab is not prohibited in Tunisia. This prohibition is only applied at the time of the graduation exam for students who wear a veil or niqab everyday.
